藥物發現新革命：大數據與人工智慧創新
近年來，人工智慧（Artificial Intelligence, AI）與大數據（Big Data）的分析應用已被醫藥專業人士點評為最具顛覆性的兩大新興技術，因其可縮短藥物的研發週期、降低投入成本，並提高藥物上市的成功率。現今，人工智慧已在多方層面應用於藥物發現與開發的流程中，例如配位基（ligand）與分子結構的篩選、毒性預測及新冠疫情期間的藥物定位；另外，人工智慧模型也被應用於基因體學（genomics）、蛋白質體學（proteomics）、醫療影像（medical imaging）及其他複雜且大型的數據集中以幫助釐清疾病的生物機制，並篩選潛在的候選藥物。然而，在藥物發現中，大數據與人工智慧的應用仍尚處於萌芽階段，但各界已看好其趨勢，將持續為藥物開發領域帶來革命性變化。
來自英國牛津、專注於 RNA 藥物開發與臨床前模型創建的赭石生醫（Ochre Bio）即將於 11 月 9 日舉辦論壇活動，現場將邀請了來自大數據、基因體學、藥物開發等領域的業界專業人士，帶領我們更深入探索人工智慧與大數據在製藥的應用。與會講者包含 Ochre Bio 的科學長 Quin Wills 博士、Insilico Medicine Taiwan（英科智能）執行長林彥竹（Jimmy Lin）博士、宏碁（Acer）價值創新中心研發經理陳映嘉（Inca Chen）博士以及新析生物科技（Syncell）執行長廖仲麒教授，與我們共同探索更多藥物探索的創新想法。
